HelloID Introduces Proxy for Enhanced Web Access Security
Tools4ever, the leader in Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), adds an extra layer of access security to the Cloud Single Sign-On (SSO) portal HelloID. With the addition of proxy functionality, it is possible to block direct access to web applications and resources. Logging in this way always goes through the SSO portal HelloID, allowing for strict access requirements. It also enables monitoring and recording of all user activities for compliance objectives.
The proxy functionality is requested per application via the management dashboard in HelloID. Once enabled, any direct login attempt on the web application outside the SSO portal HelloID is denied. By giving end-users access to applications and resources of the organization only via HelloID, it is possible to secure access further. In addition to pre-set access policies (time of day, IP address, allowed geographic locations, etc.), there is also validation against the organization’s Active Directory and Multi Factor Authentication via One Time Password (OTP) via RADIUS or other forms of OTP. Once the user has access, their actions are recorded and monitored for extra security and strict compliance rules.
