SOC 2 Type II statement
From Brand Compliance, Tools4ever has received a SOC 2 Type II audit statement.
SOC stands for Service Organisation Controls and such an audit assesses, among other things, the organisation’s internal controls for the security of IT environments and data. SOC 2 looks at service processes with a focus on issues such as security, availability and confidentiality. Whereas a SOC 2 Type I examination only assesses the design and existence of the internal control system, the Type II examination also checks the design and operation of the control measures.
Audit important for customers
SOC 2 is primarily aimed at service organisations. Customers who outsource processes naturally only want to do so through a reliable service provider. A SOC 2 statement confirms to the customer that the quality of service has been assessed by an independent expert. This assessment includes monitoring of the organisation, supplier management programmes, sound software development, internal corporate governance and risk management processes.
