Employees may suddenly call in sick or forget to activate their Out-of-Office message before going on leave. Their immediate colleagues won’t be able to activate this message, as they do not possess the login details of the absent user. After all, it is not a good practice to let employees share their credentials. With the Out of Office Manager Tool by Tools4ever, only administrators will be able to modify and activate Out-of-Office messages and ensure that incoming e-mail messages are automatically forwarded to another employee.
Auto provisioning
By integrating OOMT with User Management Resource Administrator (UMRA) many new opportunities arise. Automatic handling of Out-of-Office occurs by linking UMRA to the HR system in the organization. This system keeps track of vacations, sick employees of business trips. Additionally, contract information is available. In addition to integration with the HR system, UMRA offers the possibility to put the manager in the lead via Workflow Management and Self Service. Through both integrations (HR system and WFM / SS), UMRA can automatically set the Out of Office message (after approval and adaptation by the manager).
